Berry Street auction for designer furniture taken from skips

Carpet manufacturer Milliken has teamed up with a young people’s charity to raise money by  auctioning recycled furniture this Wednesday.

A selection of quirky retro furniture made out of material taken from skips, scrapyards and roadsides, will be auctioned by charity Out of the Dark on Berry Street this Wednesday.

Clerkenwell Design Week 2011 kicks off next week and treats its visitors to exhibitions in a Victorian prison, a life-size pin art installation and the presentation of the new Jaguar supercar.
